Some US Hunting outfitters offer discounts before the season commences in order to make certain that they are able book sufficient hunters to completely cover their fixed expenses. Or some might offer a discount in the middle of the season, well after their target number of hunters have been met.

Sometimes an outfitter simply establishes their prices based entirely upon the minimum number of hunters they expect to get from local, regulatory agencies. Now if their quota is actually a bit higher than that number, then it permits them to offer some type of a discount price.

Or they may have an open date they wish to fill due to a last minute cancellation.

Discounted hunts, like all hunts on the Internet, can come directly from the outfitters themselves, with absolutely no middle man at no extra cost. Or, there may be a broker or sales person involved.

What is the definition of a cancellation hunt?
A cancellation hunt can sometimes be one of the best bargains in the entire open market, especially when it comes to hunts that have a high demand, for instance dangerous game hunts or mountain hunts like sheep or mountain goat.

The hunt becomes cancelled for some reason.
Most hunting trips are planned and booked a year or perhaps two years in advance. And in most of those cases, a non-refundable deposit is required of the hunter. Many unavoidable situations can arise, (including births, deaths, marriages, health issues and business or job related promotions). These can occur between the time the hunt was booked and the time the hunt date rolls around, and this can force hunters to cancel their hunt.

So the outfitter starts looking for a quick replacement for the cancelled trip.
Outfitters usually invest a lot of money and effort into preparing for their scheduled hunts. The initial deposit may not entirely cover their investment, and the deposit amount almost certainly won’t compensate for their lost profits. Therefore, the outfitter wants to find a replacement hunter as quickly as possible. The normal practice is to discount the price of the hunt in the same amount of the deposit on hand.

And sometimes you can expect an even better deal. Cancellation hunts can easily provide hunters with a once in a lifetime opportunity to hunt such iconic species as mountain goats, dall sheep, Alaska moose, cape buffalo, African leopard, lions, Alaskan grizzly or brown bears. Suddenly these hunts are well within their budget.

The former Lieutenant Governor, died in office on July 2, 2019. On July 17, 2019, the federal government announced the appointment of the former Assistant Commissioner with the RCMP , as the new Lieutenant Governor. 

Back in 1992, the Canadian federal government and the provincial government of Saskatchewan signed an historic land claim agreement with the First Nations. The First Nations were slated to receive compensation, and were consequently permitted to buy land on the open real estate market for the various tribes. So far they have acquired about 761,000 acres; now reserve lands. Some First Nations used their settlement money to invest in various urban areas, including the city of Saskatoon.
