Affordable Saskatchewan Bear Hunting

Saskatchewan is a Canadian province, the only one that doesn’t have a natural border . Saskatchewan has an area of over 250,000 square miles, almost 10% of which is comprised of fresh water. This portion is made up mostly of rivers, reservoirs, and over 10,000 lakes.

Saskatchewan is bordered on the west by the Canadian province of Alberta, on the north by the Canadian province of the Northwest Territories, on the east by the Canadian province of Manitoba, on the northeast by the province of Nunavut, and on the south by the United States. (The states of Montana and North Dakota. In 2020, Saskatchewan’s population was over 1,18 million people.  Most of Saskatchewan’s residents live in the southern half of the province, while the northern half is mostly boreal forests and is very sparsely populated. Roughly half of the entire population live in the province’s largest city Saskatoon.

Saskatchewan’s climate is extremely continental, with severe winters throughout the province. The southern portions experience very warm summers. 

Saskatchewan has some of the most affordable bear hunting opportunities on the north American continent.

The former Lieutenant Governor, died in office on July 2, 2019. On July 17, 2019, the federal government announced the appointment of the former Assistant Commissioner with the RCMP , as the new Lieutenant Governor. 

Back in 1992, the Canadian federal government and the provincial government of Saskatchewan signed an historic land claim agreement with the First Nations. The First Nations were slated to receive compensation, and were consequently permitted to buy land on the open real estate market for the various tribes. So far they have acquired about 761,000 acres; now reserve lands. Some First Nations used their settlement money to invest in various urban areas, including the city of Saskatoon.
